SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. SpecialtyRx takes pride in delivering personalized care and high-quality pharmacy services. We are expanding our services to our NEW location in Cook County, Illinois.

NOTICE:
SpecialtyRx is seeking a Travel Pharmacy Technician located in the surrounding areas of Cook County, Illinois.

Responsibilities:
  •  Able to work independently under the direction of a supervisor. 
  •  Maintain active communication with client facility and pharmacy staff. 
  •  Utilize reporting applications (myQlink, OmniCenter). 
  •  Maintain accurate information at each ADS (Automated Dispensing System), including quantity and expiration date. 
  •  Identify and address discrepancies to ensure proper billing. 
  •  Replace potentially expiring inventory. 
  •  Restock depleted inventory. 
  •  Perform monthly audits (cycle counts). 
  •  Provide reports for the facility. 
  •  Complete any other tasks assigned by the supervisor. 

Qualifications:
  • Important: Must be local to the Cook County, Illinois area. 
  •  Licensed Illinois Pharmacy Technician. 
  •  Previous pharmacy experience required (one-year experience in long-term care preferred). 
  •  Experience with Automated Dispensing Systems (Pyxis, Omnicell) and data entry preferred. 
  •  Ability to efficiently use various programs and applications and troubleshoot ADS issues. 
  •  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  •  Basic math and analytical skills. 
  •  Ability to perform light physical lifting. 
  •  Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. 
  •  Willingness to travel within Cook County and surrounding areas in Illinois. 

Shift: Monday – Friday
