Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support Data Entry staff.
  • Review all Data Entry queues at the beginning of the shift.
  • Ensure sufficient coverage across locations, queues, and operating hours.
  • Assign daily work based on volume, urgency, employee skills, and cutoff times.
  • Coordinate breaks, lunches, call-offs, and same-day coverage adjustments.
  • Monitor staffing levels and redistribute work as needed to maintain service levels.
  • Prioritize new admissions, urgent orders, clarifications, refills, and aging work.
  • Monitor orders approaching delivery and processing cutoffs and take proactive action to prevent delays.
  • Escalate anticipated staffing, cutoff, backlog, or service-level risks to management.
  • Provide a clear handoff of outstanding work, priorities, and issues to the next shift.
  • Monitor employee attendance, productivity, accuracy, and adherence to procedures.
  • Provide immediate first-line coaching and retraining when concerns are identified.
  • Document recurring attendance, conduct, quality, or performance concerns.
  • Maintain the Data Entry training and competency checklist.
  • Coordinate onboarding, cross-training, and refresher training.
  • Track queue volume, turnaround time, backlog, productivity, errors, and rework.
  • Identify workflow issues and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service and pharmacists when orders require additional information or clinical review.
  • Ensure unresolved orders, questions, and exceptions are properly documented and communicated.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Data Entry employees.
  • Support compliance with company policies, procedures, quality standards, and applicable pharmacy requirements.
  • Promote a professional, collaborative, and accountable work environment.
  • Assist with maintaining a smooth transition.

Qualifications:
  • Active Ohio Board of Pharmacy Technician License required.
  • Previous pharmacy experience required.
  • Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of brand-name and generic medications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills required.
  • Excellent telephone and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to coach, train, and support employees.
  • Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions during hours.
  • Frameworks / ECM system knowledge a plus.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to train on first shift, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, as required.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.

Schedule:
Monday–Friday 10:00 AM –6:30 PM.
